I was given some books that my mother in law no longer wanted and I didn't have the heart to toss them either. So I decided to create my next art piece with the pages. It took 410 book pages to create The Unwanted Book Dress. The parasol is also handcrafted from book pages as well. The mask is made from clay.
I wasn't sure when I started this piece if there was going to be a show or not due to Covid restrictions. Luckily the Centre for Creative Arts put together an online contest.
I am proud to say that The Unwanted Book Dress took FIRST place!
